REDUCTION IN REDEMPTION FEES AND SALES CHARGES

The NewGold prospectus issued on 27 October 2004 (the “Prospectus”) stipulates in the “Creation
and Redemption Fees” paragraph on page 22, that the creation fees or redemption fees (“Redemption
Fees”) payable at any time may be varied by giving sufficient notice to investors.

Accordingly, NewGold herewith notifies investors of its decision to reduce the Redemption Fees from
0.05% of the redemption value to a flat fee of R5000.00 (excluding VAT).

Investors are further advised that the monthly sales charges due annually will also be revised per the
table below:
